If You've Been Injured by A Defective Drug Our Attorneys
Will Help You Receive Compensation.
Prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) drugs are responsible for the death or
serious injury of thousands of people each year. People trust their doctors when
they are prescribed these defective drugs because they are approved by the FDA.
Unfortunately, many of these drugs are inadequately tested or the warning labels
do not contain sufficient information
The following drugs have been proven or suspected to be defective. |
 |
Vioxx® |
 |
Vioxx was intended to treat menstrual and arthritis pain. Vioxx is believed to
be a defective drug because it is proven to cause heartburn, nausea, diarrhea,
upper respiratory tract infection, swelling of the lower extremities, high
blood pressure, itching , stomach ulcers or bleeding, fatigue, vomiting, dark
urine and black stools. Vioxx has also been linked to increased heart attack
and stroke.
On September 30, 2004, Merck CO & Inc. recalled this defective drug from the
shelf. If you have been affected by Vioxx please fill out a Defective
Drug Case Evaluation and one of our experienced litigators will review your case. |
 |
Celebrex® |
 |
Celebrex, like Vioxx was released and intended to treat arthritis and joint inflammation.
Like Vioxx it is also a dangerous drug, associated with 10 deaths, gastrointestinal
bleeding and increased risk of stomach ulcers. There is also evidence that
taking Celebrex can increase a user's risk of blood clots, heart attack, and
stroke.
Despite the link, the makers of Celebrex have asked the FDA to remove warning
labels connecting the drug to stomach ulcers. The request was denied. If you
or anyone you know have taken Celebrex you may be entitled to compensation if
you have experienced any of the adverse side effects. Fill out a Defective
Drug Case Evaluation and the attorneys at Cooper & Schall, P.C. will review your case. |

Bextra® |
 |
Bextra is an anti-inflammatory drug designed to alleviate the symptoms of rheumatoid
arthritis and swelling. Bextra has shown to cause serious side-effects, from
stomach bleeding to upper respiratory infection.
If you have taken Bextra and have suffered from any of the aforementioned symptoms
please take the time to fill out a Defective Drug Case Evaluation. |
 |
Zyprexa® |
 |
FDA approved since 1996 Zyprexa is used as a treatment for bipolar disorder,
schizophrenia, and other psychotic illnesses. Zyprexa controls hallucinations,
delusions, withdrawal, and various symptoms associated with these illnesses.
Researchers have linked Zyprexa to diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, hypoglycemia,
pancreatitis, and diabetes-induced heart attack or coma. Younger patients teenagers
up to adults in their 50's are a higher risk.
While it may be a defective drug Zyprexa has not been recalled yet. If you have
been a victim of any of the previously mentioned side effects fill out a Defective
Drug Case Evaluation. |
